Information on the Light Microscopy Laboratory
The faculty has recently acquired an Olympus 3 Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope. This microscope has the ability of optically sectioning biological specimens, obtaining flourescent images, and doing 3D reconstruction. The microscope has 4 channels. This microscope also has DIC and transmitted light detection capability. The images are stored digitally and can be manipulated using a separate workstation which is provided without cost to all registered users.
