Dean's Scholars Qualifying Standards

Students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences who in one semester (fall, spring, or summer) complete twelve or more graded credits at the 100-level or above with all grades of "A+" and/or "A" and no grades of "A-," "I," "X," or "U" are automatically named Dean's Scholars. The grade of "P" has no effect on the determination of a student's eligibility for this honor. NOTE: Part-time students may request to be named Dean's Scholars if, by combining a series of semesters that are consecutive from the standpoint of the student's enrollment, she or he meets the performance standards specified above. All graded work in 100-level or above courses on record in each semester of the series, including the final semester, will be counted in determining eligibility. A given semester may be used to determine eligibility for Dean's Scholar (or Dean's List) honors only once, and the honor will be noted only with reference to the final semester in the series. Part-time students are expected to make their requests under this policy in the Academic Advising Center and within one semester of meeting the requirements.
