Teaching Innovation Award

This award will be presented to a full-time faculty member or team of faculty who have excelled in their implementation of innovative teaching practices. The award is intended to recognize and encourage the use of student-centered, evidence-based practices that enhance student learning.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Full-time faculty. The nominee must not have previously won this specific award in the five preceding years.

WHAT IS AWARDED?

$500 and a framed certificate

CRITERIA

The following criteria will be considered in the selection process:

  1. Use of student-centered, evidence-based pedagogy
  2. Originality of the teaching strategy or the implementation
  3. Impact on student learning or engagement
  4. Potential for wider adoption within or among disciplines
  5. Scalability

HOW TO NOMINATE

A letter of nomination that describes the teaching innovation, what motivated the innovation and how it impacted student learning or engagement may be submitted to r by the deadline. Self-nominations are encouraged.
