Distinguished Faculty Award for Service

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Nominees must have been employed by the University of Louisville for the preceding five years. For categories 1, II, and III, service must have been performed while the individual was a full-time faculty member at UofL. For category IV. Career Service, faculty in phased retirement are eligible. To align with university-wide presidential awards, self-nominations will not be accepted.

WHAT IS AWARDED?

$400 and a plaque-mounted certificate

TOTAL AWARDS

Five (submit one nomination packet per nominee per category):

  • Service to the University of Louisville
  • Service to the profession
  • Service to the community, the Commonwealth, and/or the region
  • National/International Service
  • Career of service (should be some combination of the above)

CRITERIA

The nominee will have demonstrated work drawing upon their expertise and is an outgrowth of an academic discipline or the faculty’s position at the University. Evaluation must be only of faculty service contributions for which no compensation has been received.

HOW TO NOMINATE
