Cayuse is a cloud-based, electronic research administration system designed to support the full research project lifecycle. Integrating multiple research applications across a single web-based platform, Cayuse enhances the efficiency of the research management process, streamlines compliance activities and enhances communication and collaboration across the research enterprise.
UofL’s instance of the Cayuse system includes the following applications, expected to rollout on a phased basis beginning in early 2024:
NOTE: Administration of Conflict of Interest (COI) disclosures and human subjects research/IRB protocols and related reviews and approvals occurs within UofL’s instance of the iRIS system.

Legacy systems will be discontinued once the new Cayuse applications are fully implemented. COI disclosures and human subjects research/IRB administration will remain in iRIS.
