Pi Sigma Alpha Honors Society
The nationally-recognized Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society is the only honor society for undergraduates studying political science and government. It is accredited by the Association of College Honor Societies. The University of Louisville chapter (Delta Beta) dates back to its charter in 1960.
Membership will not only connect you to the national organization, but also to our local chapter. Within our chapter, many opportunities exists, including scholarships, officer positions, special events, and the opportunity to publish your own political science research in the Pi Sigma Alpha quarterly journal
To be eligible, students must have:
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0
- A POLS major with 60 credit hours
Invitation letters will be sent to eligible students in the Spring semester. Induction into Pi Sigma Alpha will be held at Spring Fete. The lifetime membership fee is $45.00 ($35.00 national dues and $10.00 local chapter dues.) Graduation cords and medallions are $30.00 and can be purchased from the faculty sponsor, Dr. Tricia Gray.
