As the long-lasting effects of brain trauma in sports, the military and everyday life become more apparent, minimizing consequences of TBI is the name of the game. Join experts in TBI from the University of Louisville, sports medicine and the military for a CME- and CEU-accredited symposium co-hosted by KentuckyOne Health and the University of Louisville.
Continuing medical education credit is available for health professionals.
Julian Bailes, MD, – Sports Concussion
Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery and co-director of the NorthShore Neurological Institute, Dr. Bailes has been instrumental in the increased understanding of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a progressive degenerative disease found in people who have suffered multiple concussions. He has served as a consultant to the National Football League Players Association since 1994.
