2024 Ohio Valley Spine Symposium
The 2024 Ohio Valley Spine Symposium brings together health professionals from the University of Louisville, the University of Kentucky, the University of Cincinnati, and others to learn about updates and best practices in Spinal Oncology. Attendees will spend the day hearing from speakers in both presentation and case study formats to learn about updated techniques for spinal oncology. Spine surgery is evolving into the age of robotic and minimally invasive spine surgery. There is an increasing array of new techniques, approaches, instruments, and knowledge to manage and treat spinal tumors. Attendees will hear cases and multiple sides on how to treat, then they will get to decide which approach is best. The audience will leave with new options on how to treat spinal tumors, diseases, and pain management

U of L Health Sports Medicine Symposium: Comprehensive Medical Management of the High Level Athlete
This in-person course introduces learners to the multi-disciplinary approach to the sports medicine management of the high-level athlete. It will provide an overview of the continuum of care/practice pathway utilized by the University of Louisville Sports Medicine Team. This course will walk the learner through management of the athlete beginning with pre-injury preparation/prevention, progressing to on the field/court injury management, the medical management, mental health management, rehabilitation, sports performance and return to sport.
Louisville Hematology Highlights November 9, 2024
This Symposium has become an annual event, bringing together academic and community hematologist-oncologists from throughout the region to UofL for an educational opportunity with CE accreditation. In addition to the full-day Main Symposium, this year we are introducing a half-day Nursing Symposium. Both events feature presentations by renowned leaders in the field of hematologic malignancy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation sharing the latest scientific advancements in blood cancer therapies and cellular therapeutics research and development.
