AI Symposium 2022

The first annual CAIRS Symposium in Healthcare at the University of Louisville was an enormous success. The symposium created an opportunity for many faculty and scientists inside UofL (University of Louisville) to connect with leading researchers and companies who are at the forefront developing AI technologies in healthcare. The symposium established a platform to promote interdisciplinary collaboration amongst the clinical and data scientists at the University of Louisville and beyond.

Two schools that played the leading role in this area (AI in Healthcare) attended at the highest level. Dean of the School of Medicine, Dr. Toni Ganzel, and Dean of the J.B. Speed school of Engineering, Dr. Emmanual Collins, both attended and discussed the future direction of AI at UofL.

Dr. Contractor, Chair of Radiology, Dr. Hattab, Chair of Pathology, Dr. Kalra, Chief of Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Dr. El-Baz Chair, of Bioengineering also presented the role and future direction of AI in their departments.

The symposium’s talks were recorded and will be made available on the CAIRS website.
