Claire E. Meena-Leist, MD is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with subspecialty certification in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.  She graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where she also completed her pathology residency and fellowship.

Dr. Meena-Leist began her career in Transfusion Medicine at the American Red Cross Blood Services.    During the early part of her career she also assumed the role of  Transfusion Medicine Director at UL.  She resigned as Division Chief Medical Officer of the ARC after many years of service to come back to UL as the Chief of Transfusion Medicine Services for University of Louisville and Affiliated Hospitals.

Dr. Meena-Leist’s primary interests are clinical service and education.
