Dr. Kim Meyer, APRN, graduated with her PhD from the University of Louisville in 2016 after previously earning her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Kentucky in 2001. Dr. Meyer is currently serving a three-year term as President of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, for which she has previously served leadership terms as a board member. Dr. Meyer received the Outstanding Faculty Award from the University of Louisville for the School of Nursing (SON) in 2020 and was honored by SON students in 2017 with the Favorite Faculty Award.

Dr. Meyer currently works on the ASTROH stroke clinical trial with the University of Louisville and UofL Health. Additionally, Dr. Meyer has written book chapters in Brain Injury Medicine, 3rd edition; Nursing Diagnosis Handbook: An Evidence-Based Guide;Textbook of Critical Care, 2nd, 6th & 7th editions; Management of Adults with Traumatic Brain Injury; and AANN Core Curriculum for Neuroscience Nursing, 4th & 5th edition.
