Dr. Couch is an Assistant Professor for the University of Louisville School of Medicine in the Department of Neurosurgery. In this role he works alongside the neurosurgical team at UofL to help bring more subspecialized neurosurgical care to the community of Paducah, Kentucky and Western Kentucky. In the past, Dr. Couch completed a minimally invasive spine surgery fellowship at Semmes-Murphey Neurology and Spine Institute in Memphis, TN. He finished his neurosurgery residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ and Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. Dr. Couch attended the University of Kentucky and the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, KY. In addition to minimally invasive neck and back surgery, Dr. Couch provides general neurosurgical procedures including craniotomy, shunting, and tumor surgery.

Additionally, Dr. Couch founded and is the current president of a non-profit organization known as Anonymous Hope (AH). The mission of AH is to reduce poverty in Kentucky through empowerment and educational assistance.
