Dr. Jessica Bowersock graduated from East Carolina University in 2020 with a Ph.D in bioenergetics and exercise science with a concentration in biomechanics and motor control after earning a Master of Science from the same university in 2016 in kinesiology. She has joined the University of Louisville’s Department of Neurological Surgery as a post-doctoral associate working with our Human Cognition and Neurophysiology Laboratory. Dr. Bowersock has served the International Neuropsychological Society as a scientific program committee member and was featured in a Reuters news article discussing her published study, “Skipping has lower knee joint contact forces and higher metabolic cost compared to running”.
