Dr. Kristin Geczi attended the University of Michigan Medical School and worked at Corewell Health/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids for her intern year. During her intern year, she was elected as the house staff council representative for the transitional year program.

She has a passion for the arts and their intersection with the medical field. In medical school, she was commissioned to create a painting for a new office suite within the medical school. She was asked to speak at the University of Michigan Museum of Art for a conference for faculty and educators about the application of the arts in the clinical space. She has also earned national recognition for her poetry, placing third in the DeBakey Poetry Contest through the Baylor College of Medicine. She had a poem published in the academic journal, Neurology, about the limitations of cognitive examination techniques.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Geczi earned her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis. Anthropology taught her cultural literacy which she applies to her medical practice. She volunteered and worked at Camp Independence, a summer sports camp for children with cerebral palsy, which sparked her interest in PM&R.
