Dr. Ayala Katrina Slater graduated from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019 after earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology from University of West Florida in 2014. She went on to complete a transitional year residency at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg, Virginia before joining the University of Louisville as a physical medicine and rehabilitation resident. She has recently matched into a NASS interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine fellowship at the Jordan Young Institute in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Following fellowship, Dr. Slater hopes to join a private practice focused on treating common back and musculoskeletal injuries as well as prevention of these common injuries. She is interested in optimizing her patient's health span and wellness to preserve their quality of life.  

Dr. Slater’s research interests include regenerative medicine.
