Dr. Alexandra Jensen is an Assistant Professor with the UofL School of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery, Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She is an Outpatient Attending Physician with UofL Health – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Her areas of interest include spasticity management, management of Cerebral Palsy, neurologic rehabilitation, and diaphragm muscle dysfunction. Dr. Jensen received her Master of Science in Biophysical and Inorganic Chemistry from Yale University before receiving her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University/Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Dr. Jensen completed the medical education, leadership and quality improvement tracks at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and was awarded a certificate for completing the McGaw Medical Education Clinical Scholars program that provides competency-based training in education theory and teaching.
