Dr. Wang joined Neuromuscular Division, Department of Neurology, University of Louisville in August, 2012 as an associate professor. After receiving his M.D. from Hunan Medical University in China and Ph.D. degree at Karolinska Institute in Sweden, Dr. Wang completed his internship and residency in neurology in SIU and clinical fellowship in Neuromuscular disease and clinical neurophysiology in Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Wang was then recruited back to SIU as an assistant professor, clinical director of EMG lab, MDA and ALS. Dr. Wang also chaired the neurology department of Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois.

Clinical Interests
Dr. Wang has clinic interest in diagnosis and treatments of the neuromuscular diseases including muscular dystrophy, polymyositis, myasthenia gravis, peripheral neuropathy and ALS as well as the electrodiagnostic testing/EMG of neurological disorders.
Research Interests
Dr. Wang has several years of research in the immune and molecular mechanisms of neurological diseases, especially myasthenia gravis, immune-related neuropathy and myositis as well as multiple sclerosis.
