Core A: The Administrative Core - Donald M. Miller, M.D., Ph.D. and John W. Eaton, Ph.D.
The Administrative Core provides the necessary Administrative and Research Administrative support for the MT-COBRE Investigators and their laboratory groups as well as the Core Directors, and administer the Committee governance structure of the MT-COBRE. The overall goal of the second 5-years of the MT-COBRE is to recruit and ensure the success of junior investigators who are members of the Molecular Targets Program at the University of Louisville’s James Graham Brown Cancer Center. This Core supports that goal by providing administrative support for the entire program. The Core also is responsible for the fiscal management of the Core Facilities and individual Projects. It coordinates the Pilot Project Program, coordinates the semiannual meetings of the External Advisory Board and the annual MT-COBRE Retreat. Dr. Miller and Dr. Eaton, along with the COBRE Administrator, are in charge of the day-to-day management of the program. In addition, The Administrative Core organizes and oversees all educational activities of the MT-COBRE.
