Waters earns Henry Clay Internship to Washington, D.C.

The Henry Clay Internship places undergraduate students in an office of the Kentucky congressional delegation or an office of the executive in Washington, D.C. Waters will find out her internship placement later this month.
Each Henry Clay intern receives a $4,000 stipend for living expenses during the 6-8 week summer internship. The Kentucky Society of Washington hosts the internship program and "selects interns who demonstrate superior academic achievements and intellectual development; effective oral and written communications skills; the ability to work well with others; outstanding trustworthiness and sound judgment; and strong initiative."
Waters is studying political science, justice administration and classical languages at the University of Louisville. Last year, McConnell Scholar Evan Shepherd of Hopkins County, Ky., received the Henry Clay Internship award.
