Edward Pocock III Named 2017 Alumnus of the Year by SPI
Edward S. Pocock III is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s 129th Administrative Officers Course (AOC) in May 2014, where he served as the class Vice President. He graduated as a Dean’s Scholar – an academic distinction recognizing his successful completion of the program with A’s in each criminal justice course in which he was enrolled. Capt. Pocock holds a Master of Science Degree with honors in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisville (2015).
Captain Pocock was honored as the SPI Alumni Association’s (SPIAA) 2017 Alumnus of the Year at the association’s annual conference in North Myrtle Beach, SC last week. He was selected for this recognition due to his passion for SPI and the University of Louisville’s educational opportunities and his generosity in setting up continuing funding, through the Lamb-Pocock Foundation, supporting and encouraging the education of the next generation of law enforcement leaders.
