It's time to officially join the Cardinal Family at New Cards Orientation!

We’re excited to see you at New Cards Orientation this summer! Orientation is a required, two-day, on-campus experience at the University of Louisville. Designed to facilitate a successful college transition for incoming freshmen, programming includes presentations from and 1:1 discussion with various campus departments to learn about services and resources, provides opportunities for engagement and connection with current student mentors and other incoming freshmen, and academic program information, advising, and course enrollment.

Important Announcement Regarding Early Arrival Check-In

A portion of Interstate 65 in Louisville - the primary interstate route to campus - will be fully closed for repairs from June through July 2026. Due to expected traffic congestion and increased travel times, we strongly encourage students to take advantage of a free early arrival and check-in option.

Early arrival check-in does not include additional programming; however, all students are welcome to check in the evening before their scheduled session, regardless of distance or travel time to campus. Check-in will be available from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. ET to help avoid rush-hour traffic the following morning. Orientation Programs staff will be on-site to welcome students and assist with arrival that evening.

Simply select early arrival when you submit your orientation registration form to add this option!
