Cards Camp
A five day immersive camp experience for new UofL freshmen primarily hosted off-campus in an outdoor setting.
Saturday, August 9-Wednesday, August 13, 2025
Cards Camp is a 5-day, 4-night experience designed to help students transition to college life through small group activities, team building exercises, and meaningful discussions. The camp begins on campus, with resident students moving into their dorms early, followed by outdoor programming at the J M Feltner 4-H Camp in London, KY. Students return to campus on Wednesday to start Welcome Week activities with other new arrivals.

The total program fee is $300. A $100 non-refundable program fee deposit is due when you register. The balance will be due on June 1, or within 1 week of registration after June 1.

Immerse yourself in a unique outdoor experience, where you will be able to step outside your comfort zone, challenge yourself, and support others, all while having fun!
Leadership
Activities will guide you through personal reflection, increase your self-awareness, and expose you to university programs, resources, and traditions, and allow you to create a foundation for leadership.
Community
Engage and connect with peers, student mentors, staff, and faculty in a unique and diverse environment.
Service
Begin learning about social issues in our UofL and Louisville community and how you can make a positive and lasting impact.
Cards Camp was such a formative experience that helped me start freshman year off on the right foot. College can be an intimidating experience, so having that buffer period between Orientation and Welcome Week to just have fun and make new friends made the transition so much easier. Because of Cards Camp, I was ready to enter college with a confidence I don't think I could've gotten staying at home. Cards Camp was the perfect way to kick off my college journey. As someone who never went to summer camp growing up, it felt special to finally have that experience right before starting college.
