Dates for the 2012 ULtra/JCTC New Student Orientation for the Jefferson Community and Technical College downtown campus are:

PLEASE REGISTER FOR A REGULAR JCTC ORIENTATION HERE

Space is limited to 60 students per session, please sign up early. 

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BELOW AND PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION!!

1. You must complete an application for admission to JCTC  and be admitted to attend the orientation.  The itinerary will include a JCTC/ULtra orientation, COMPASS testing for those who require it, sign up to be an ULtra student, as well as academic advising and registration for classes all in one day.  
2. Please mail, fax, or email a copy of your ACT or COMPASS scores to our office.  The scores can be a photocopy, and official copy is not required.  Send to:

3. Sign in for those student who need to test begins at 8:45 am and COMPASS testing begins at  9:00a.m sharp (LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED). .  If you don't bring your ACT scores you will be required to take all 3 sections of the COMPASS test (calculators are allowed)
4. Orientation/Registration for those who are exempt from the COMPASS test will begin at 12 Noon.  Complete itinerary details will be emailed & mailed to you a week before orientation. 
   

Parents are welcome to attend orientation with their first year student. There will be a Parent Session in the afternoon, but is optional, not required.

Please report ACT Scores

If you don't have ACT scores, you will need to arrive early to take all sections of the COMPASS test to determine your placement in Math, English, and Reading. Please send a copy of your ACT scores and/or COMPASS scores if you have already taken this placement test. Mailing address provided above. ACT score self reporting - English

Please enter your best score from the English section of your ACT. Please also send a copy of your scores to our office. You may send more than one copy of the ACT and we will take the best score earned over multiple tests. You must have an 18 or above in this section to be exempt from taking the COMPASS test English section.

You may send more than one copy of the ACT and we will take the best score earned over multiple tests. You must have a 19 or above in this section to be exempt from taking the COMPASS test MATH section.
