UofL Housing Information

IMPORTANT INFORMATION, please read carefully!

1. ULtra students may apply to live in UofL Student Housing.  Information on choices, rates, and the applications are available at the UofL Housing Website ( http://louisville.edu/student/housing/).  There is a $130 non-refundable payment that includes a $30 application fee and a $100 processing payment.  
2. ULtra students may also apply to live in University Properties (ULP). 

   University of Louisville Properties (ULP)

   The University of Louisville Properties (ULP) is an on-campus student community which includes Bettie Johnson Student Apartments, Herman & Heddy Kurz Hall Student Suites, Community Park Suites and Billy Minardi Hall Student Suites. ULP is endorsed by the University of Louisville and managed by Allen & O’Hara Education Services, Inc., a company specializing in student housing for over 40 years. PLEASE NOTE: ULP has a separate application process than the description above for academic and/or year around leasing options. The leasing office for the ULP community is located in Kurz Hall at 1900 South 4th Street. 3. The cost of housing:  
• The cost (http://louisville.edu/student/housing/rates.html) of living on campus depends on the housing you choose. 
  
• ULtra students must pay the complete cost for each semester by July 29th. 
  
• Any financial aid that you receive will not be sent to you until 3-4 weeks into the semester, so you MUST be prepared to pay the housing cost initially out of pocket.
• All ULtra students living on campus MUST purchase a meal plan.  For Fall 2009/Spring 2010, meal plan rates will be based upon which residence hall a student is assigned to.  Those students who live in rooms that do not have a kitchen will have a $1,165 meal plan cost.  Those students who live in rooms with kitchens (UTA, Bettie Johnson Hall) will have a $745 meal plan cost.
  
4. To apply for UofL Housing:
• Students living on the UofL campus must be admitted to Jefferson Community & Technical College, attend classes there, and be enrolled in the ULtra program.  You must meet with an ULtra counselor and fill out a form to be considered enrolled in the ULtra program!  THE DEADLINE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ULTRA PROGRAM AND BE ELIGIBLE FOR HOUSING IS JULY 29th, 2009.  If you have a housing assignment and have not met with ULtra to sign up by this date, your housing assignment may be cancelled and fees charged to you (according to the cancellation policy).
  
• Fill out the application ( http://louisville.edu/student/housing/future/application.html).  In the field that asks for your UofL student ID enter your 7-digit phone number (leave out the area code)  and in the field that asks for your UofL email address enter ultra@louisville.edu
  
• Housing is limited at UofL, apply early!!  Please read the Housing Assignment Policies before applying and remember because the demand for on-campus housing is very high, submitting an application does not guarantee an assignment.
