Undergraduate Affairs

The undergraduate affairs office provides university-wide service and support for undergraduate degrees, academic success and co-curricular programs.

Ideas To Action, the SACS quality enhancement plan, received positive feedback from the visiting team, which also made useful suggestions for its execution. The task group of faculty, students, and staff is meeting regularly, and subcommittees for program development, communication, and personnel searches are already working. In addition to more detailed sets of learning outcomes and critical-thinking pedagogy development, the task group is working on a campus information plan to familiarize students and faculty with the plan and its goals. For more information, see the Ideas to Action website.

University-excused absences: On the recommendation of the Faculty Senate, Provost Willihnganz has approved revised guidelines for student absences excused by reason of participation in university-sanctioned events. These guidelines replace the Faculty Senate statement of July 8, 1998.
