Faculty Services

Travel grants are available to full-time and part-time faculty to support teaching and research projects abroad. Grants are also available for independently-arranged international academic activities and activities involving current U of L exchange partners.

Eligible recipients must provide documentation of matching funds from home department, grants, or sponsoring agency or university.

The travel grant application is sent directly to the attention of Sue Pearcy at the International Center. All other forms for travel, such as the Out-of-Country Travel Authorization Request form, Overseas Emergency Information Sheet, etc., are to be sent directly to the attention of Debbie James, 104 Administrative Annex.

International ID Cards

All students and faculty traveling abroad must have an International ID Card. For information on obtaining an International ID, please visit the International ID Cards webpage.

Overseas Travel Information

The following are forms required by the University Provost and University legal counsel. Faculty members must submit the Overseas Emergency Information Sheet along with a copy of their Passport photo and signature pages to the International Center. Copies of these documents must also be sent to the Provost's office. It is the responsibility of the individual to make sure all documentation is submitted prior to leaving the country.

The Release and Risk Assumption form is to be completed by student groups only, and should be sent to the International Center.
