Faculty Travel Grant
Through the generous support of the Office of the University Provost, the International Center is able to offer University of Louisville faculty travel grants in support of their participation in international activities.
Conference, Research and Teaching Grants
These activities include presenting papers at international conferences, conducting research abroad, or teaching at a foreign university. Travel grants up to $500 for these activities are awarded on a matching basis. Matching funds may come from your home department, grants, or the sponsoring agency or university.
Exchange Program Grants
Travel grants for participation in an official university-to-university exchange program or for travel to a foreign university in an effort to establish an exchange are also available. These grants, which are also awarded on a matching basis, are up to $500. If travel is for the express purpose of establishing a faculty or student reciprocal exchange program, you must contact the Office of Education Abroad at the International Center at 852-6602 for exchange program guidelines and the appropriate exchange agreement forms.
The deadline for applications for these activities (conference, research/teaching, and exchange programs) is one month prior to the proposed travel dates.
Both of these programs are open to full-time and part-time faculty. If you have any questions, please contact Sue Pearcy by email or at 852-6602.
Please note that the International Center can not provide grants to faculty that are traveling to countries that are under State Department travel warnings. If you need clarification on which countries are currently under advisory, please contact the International Center or check the State Department website.
