Program Information
The University of Louisville Kansai Gaidai year-long exchange in Osaka, Japan is for students with an interest in Japanese and Asian culture. Hosted by the Kansai Gaidai University of Foreign Studies, U of L students do their studies in English alongside Japanese and other international students. Scholarship recipients are expected to return to the University of Louisville to resume their studies. The scholarship recipient will spend two semesters studying in Osaka, Japan. All classes are conducted in English.

Scholarship
The scholarship award is paid as a monthly stipend, part of which is used to pay the student’s room, board, university fees, and some personal expenses while in Osaka. Scholarship Award includes:
- Waiver of tuition at Kansai Gaidai University
- A stipend of $5,000 paid over 10 consecutive months
Students may also be eligible to apply for Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarships or Freeman Asia Fund scholarships.
