Graduate Student Grants
Consistent with its overall mission and strategic goals, the Department of Political Science may support graduate student participation in conferences, language and technical training, and other important academic events or programs.
Students seeking such support should apply to the Department of Political Science Graduate Committee. Individuals are eligible to be awarded only one grant each academic year. The maximum amount an individual may be awarded is $500.
Applications should be sent to Brooke Ryder, Department of Political Science, Ford Hall, University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky 40292. Electronic applications are not accepted. No incomplete applications will be considered.
Students must include with their application three copies of the following:
- An application form that includes a brief explanation of the activity or project for which they are seeking support and a detailed budget.
- An unofficial transcript.
Students must also obtain a recommendation from a member of the political science faculty. The recommendation should be sent directly to Betty Younis at the address listed above.
