Please read this entire page as it has important information regarding audition/portfolio requirements.
Due to COVID-19, we will not host in-person auditions this year. The health and safety of our School of Music community and interested students is of upmost importance to us. In lieu of in-person auditions, we will collect audition video recordings from each applicant. Applicants will submit audition video recordings via a YouTube link. The YouTube link will need to be copied to the applicant's Audition Registration Form in their New Cards Gateway. You must submit an application to the University before submitting audition videos. You do not have to be admitted into the University to submit videos. To login into your Application Gateway, please visit the following website: www.uofl.me/gateway. To complete an undergraduate application to the University, please visit the following website: http://louisville.edu/admissions/apply. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
All applicants must audition as an instrumentalist or vocalist, regardless of the degree. Audition requirements vary for instruments. Please see the appropriate links below or contact the professor in your performance/degree area with questions. Students who wish to pursue a traditional music minor must also audition. An audition is not required for the Music & New Media Minor because applied lessons are not required for the coursework.
