Welcome!
The University of Louisville School of Medicine has offered training in combined Medicine-Pediatrics since 1985. Our graduates have gone on to practice in the ambulatory setting with other Med-Peds physicians and family practitioners. Others work in emergency rooms and urgent care centers. Still others have turned to further subspecialty training.
The strength and quality of the categorical programs into which this combined program is embedded afford residents with the luxury of not having to compromise in our training. Both the University of Louisville Pediatrics and the Internal Medicine Residencies are among the top categorical training programs in the Southeast region. Both programs provide a wide range of clinical exposure, opportunities for research and strong faculty. The Med-Peds program also is fortunate to have substantial support from med-peds trained community physicians, many of whom serve as gratis faculty.
Feel free to browse the site. You will find additional facts about the program, information on the Louisville area, and how to apply! If you have any questions that are not satisfactorily answered, feel free to contact us. You may also want to check out the Frequently Asked Questions. Thanks for visiting!
