The Interview

The Interview

If selected to interview, scheduling arrangements will be made through our office.  You will notified and provided dates and times to choose from.  Your interview may be conducted in person or via Skype video call.  Skype video call is encouraged for those who live out of town or a significant distance from Louisville to avoid travel time and expenses.  You must provide us your Skype username.

The interview is a serious component of our selection process and should be taken seriously.  You are not only being considered for our program but also as an assured admission candidate for our medical school.  You will receive three interviews.

  • One will be a panel interview with the Program Advisory Committee which includes the Program Director and representatives from the U of L School of Medicine.
  • The other two will be individual interviews with a medical school admissions committee member.

Interviews may all be conducted in one day or may be scheduled on different days pending the interviewers/interviewees availability.  The interviews are 20-30 minutes each.

The interview is basically a conversation which allows us to get to know you better as a potential student in our program and as a future medical student and physician.  It is also an opportunity for you to learn more about our program.

This is a professional interview, so please dress and prepare accordingly. Good luck to all of our interviewees!
