UofL Welcomes the Great Lakes Regional Counseling Psychology Conference

The theme of the conference is “Promoting Health Equity: The Intersection of Social Justice and Psychology.” This theme celebrates Counseling Psychology’s commitment to social justice by highlighting the implications of social inequity, especially as it applies to mental and physical health. We welcome conference proposal submissions which inform participants about the past, present, and future influence of counseling psychology on issues surrounding social justice and health inequity. Additionally, proposals on any topic relevant to the field of counseling psychology are encouraged.

About the Conference

The annual Great Lakes Regional Counseling Psychology Conference is the longest running regional counseling psychology conference. Following the recommendation of the third National Counseling Psychology Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in 1987, the conference has been hosted annually since its first meeting at The Ohio State University in 1988. This event has played an important role in the training of counseling psychology students by providing opportunities to deepen professional knowledge, share and disseminate research, and socialize as well as network with professionals and students across the region. UofL’s Counseling Psychology Program is proud to host its first Great Lakes Conference! We look forward to seeing you in this wonderful city!
