CardBox is our unlimited, cloud solution for UofL’s file storage and collaboration needs. A free and easy-to-use Box account with mobile, online and desktop applications for students, faculty and staff. Users can share folders, files, collaborate within and outside of the university, plus integrate automatic back-ups for O365 and personal folders. Learn more about your storage and sharing options. To request a Cardbox account, go to ULink > on the Portal entrance under Resources, click on Computer Accounts, sign into system > Look for Cardbox under Requestable Accounts.


We offer secure, controlled server availability to units and departments through service level agreements. All hosting, maintenance, administration, identity management, and disaster recovery are managed by ITS. Access from any networked campus computer, or through our virtual private network (VPN) remote access. Contact us about account options, pricing and range of systems we support. Additionally, faculty and staff members may request centralized network file storage on their college, department or group through their Tier1 or our form.


Looking at an innovative administrative storage solution? Our analysts consult about applications and technology solutions for use within an organization, unit or department. It is possible that ITS already has a service to fit your needs. We can offer advice and suggestions on acquiring enterprise tools or cloud options that might require special implementations or have potential security issues. Custom storage solutions are available for high-performance computing and large research data files. Our Research Computing team provides and supports high- performance computing, storage and visualization resources both within and external to the University of Louisville. The Cardinal Research Cluster (CRC) is open to all UofL faculty for research and instructional purposes and all faculty - sponsored researchers at UofL. OneDrive connects you to all your files in Office365 so you can share and work together from anywhere while protecting your work. For faculty and staff, as part of our Microsoft Campus Agreement, OneDrive offers seamless collaboration, mobile options, and the ability to work using other O365 products. With unlimited storage, O365 OneDrive is free for registered students, faculty and staff. Learn more about our Office365 offerings.


Did you know that our Office365 Outlook Exchange Email features unlimited archive email storage? The auto-expanding archiving feature provides an unlimited amount of storage in archive mailboxes. Now, when the storage quota in the archive mailbox is reached, Office365 automatically increases the size of the archive, which means that users won't run out of mailbox storage space.
