REQUIRED TRAINING FOR INVESTIGATORS 1. Human Subject Protections Training. Since July 1, 2000, the University of Louisville has required investigators and key personnel to obtain human subject protections training before initiating new submissions and continuation reviews to the IRB. 2. HIPAA & Research Training. Since April 14, 2003, investigators and key personnel have been required to take the University’s HIPAA & Research training.
