Learning Objectives:
As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:
● Acquire skills necessary for obtaining TEE standard views by manipulating the transducer of this state-of-the-art simulator from Heartworks (visit: www.heartworks.me.uk);
● Identify normal cardiac anatomy;
● Learn how to do a quick, focused TTE at bedside to exclude major cardiac pathology in patients with minimal preoperative testing;
● Master ultrasound-guided nerve block techniques in upper, lower limbs and trunk;
● Learn the use of real-time U/S to guide venous (central/peripheral) and arterial line placement;
● Practice needle visualization technique on inanimate phantom.

Physician Credit - The University of Louisville Continuing Medical Education office designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Requests for cancellation must be submitted to cmepd@louisville.edu on or before Saturday, May 7, 2016. Requests received on or before May 7, 2016 will receive a full refund less a $20 processing fee. No refund will be given for requests received after May 7, 2016.
