THE BUSINESS SIDE OF SPORT

It is best to think of sport administration (SPAD) as the business side of sport.

Sport managers deal with all of the business aspects surrounding sport organizations and sporting events such as leadership, organizational behavior, marketing, finance, law, facility management, fundraising, event management, multimedia, sponsorships, and promotion.

The College of Education and Human Development’s Sport Administration program at the University of Louisville prepares undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students for a variety of management positions in the sport and education industries. The SPAD program has a diverse student population representing a variety of geographical, cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds.
