All employees with assigned Workday Finance roles should have already gotten one (or more) email(s) with detailed instructions for your required training. The email will outline options for Virtual Instructor-Led Training for each security role level. If you have not gotten an email about registering for your Workday Finance training, please contact your Unit Business Manager (UBM) or Lead Fiscal Officer (LFO) or contact us.

Within the email, you will click to sign up for your chosen session via MSTeams. Once registered, you will receive a calendar invite with the session link included. Most all sessions run during the month of May so that training is complete 30 days prior to implementation.

To be prepared for your virtual instructor-led training, you must complete the self-paced modules in Blackboard before your session.

These courses will help you get familiar with Workday Finance navigation, terminology and the Foundational Data Model (FDM). The Foundation Data Model (FDM) in Workday is the core data structure for financial and HR reporting and transaction processing. It acts as a multi-dimensional classification system, allowing users to attach worktags to transactions for reporting and analysis.
