Digital Literacy Train the Trainer

About the Program

Funded by a grant from Louisville Metro Government, this free online program is designed to prepare individuals to become digital literacy trainers in their communities. Participants will build essential skills in areas such as virtual collaboration tools, conversational AI, data analytics, and form-based data collection.

The program supports those looking to grow professionally—whether transitioning to a new career, pursuing advancement, or simply expanding their digital fluency. In addition to earning valuable micro-credentials, participants will receive expert instruction, engage in peer feedback, and receive a $500 stipend upon completion.

With over 100 community educators already trained, this initiative aims to increase digital competence across all 26 Metro Louisville districts and foster a network of empowered trainers who can share knowledge within their own communities.

Eligibility requirements

Participation in the Digital Literacy Train the Trainer program is limited to individuals who live or work within the Louisville Metro area.

Participants must be 18 years or older.

University of Louisville faculty, staff, and students are not eligible to enroll in this program, due to potential conflicts of interest arising from the stipend paid at the program's conclusion.
