In October 2014, The HRAP sponsored a panel discussion entitled Women and Children at the Border: The Humanitarian Crisis. The program focused on the large number of Central American woman and children who fled violence and poverty in their home countries and came to the United States during the summer of 2014. Panelists included Congressman John Yarmuth, local attorneys and medical service providers and HRAP fellows.
To provide context for the discussion, HRAP fellows put together background information on the crisis.
