UofL Office of Institutional Equity welcomes new Title IX Director, Tim Beam

The University of Louisville’s Office of Institutional Equity is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Beam as the new Title IX Director. In this key leadership role, Beam will work closely with colleagues across campus to foster a safe and inclusive environment for all members of the university community. His responsibilities include overseeing campus-wide Sexual Violence Prevention Training and collaborating with UofL Athletics to ensure compliance with NCAA Title IX regulations.

Beam brings a wealth of experience to this position, having spent the last 22 years as a federal agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In addition to his law enforcement background, Beam has served as an adjunct professor at UofL’s Brandeis School of Law since January 2024. There, he developed and taught a Federal Criminal Law course, reflecting his dedication to both education and justice.

Beam officially began his role as Title IX Director in early October and looks forward to contributing to the ongoing efforts to promote safety and equity across campus.
