BlackBerry Account Request Form

Before IT can add your BlackBerry device to UofL’s server, you will need to contact your cellular provider to make sure it is set up, or provisioned, to connect to an Enterprise server. Your carrier may charge an additional fee for this. The main cellular providers and their associated networks that will work are: (all are capitalized letters except the “x” in 1x)

  • AT&T (GPRS or EDGE)
  • Nextel (NXTL)
  • T-Mobile (GPRS or EDGE)
  • Verizon (1x or EVDO)
  • Sprint (1x or EVDO)

It is highly suggested that you are on an unlimited data plan. These usually cost more, but the cost is/could be significantly lower than the cost if you continually go over your allotted plan.

Your BlackBerry automatically will sync to the Contacts folder in Exchange.

*This license is only for currently employed faculty and staff.

*The account will be closed when the account holder no longer has active employment status with the University of Louisville.
