About the ITCP program
The University of Louisville’s Digital Transformation Center presents the Information Technology Certification Pathways (ITCP), a fully online program designed to help you build technical skills and earn industry-recognized certifications. Whether you're starting out or advancing your career, ITCP gives you the structure and support to succeed in IT and cybersecurity.
ITCP combines CompTIA-aligned training with guided support, including pacing guides, a student helpdesk, and an exam voucher with a retake included, so you stay on track and move forward with confidence.
Unlike traditional self-paced programs, ITCP is built for completion, helping you not just start, but finish and pass. And with pricing about 20% lower than comparable market options, with an additional 10% discount available for eligible University of Louisville students, faculty, and staff*.

The program includes
GI Bill® eligibility for reimbursement
Eligible individuals who qualify for VA education benefits, including Chapter 33 (Post-9/11) and Chapter 35 (Dependents Education Assistance), may be entitled to reimbursement for select preparatory courses offered through the IT Certification Pathways.
These preparatory courses help participants prepare for certification exams, include the exam voucher and must be paid for upfront by the participant. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and is subject to individual VA eligibility.

- CompTIA Security+

2Enroll in a preparatory course
Choose one of the VA-approved preparatory courses offered through the IT Certification Pathways.

You must pay upfront for the course at the time of enrollment.

3Complete the course
After successfully completing the course, you will receive a letter of completion and a voucher to take the certification exam.

4Submit your reimbursement request to the VA
Once the course is completed, you can apply to the VA for reimbursement of the prep course cost.
