Residency Year 2
The second year of the Oral and Maxillofacial Residency program places the resident into the third-year clerkships of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. The year will consist of the following clerkships, which are required for all medical school students:

During this year, the trainee will function under the guidelines set by each department for their specific rotation. The trainee will attend lectures and seminars, see patients in the respective clinics, follow in-patients, and take call. The trainee will learn the appropriate protocol for history and physicals, operative notes and charting, and referrals.
