Many ULSD graduates choose to practice general dentistry. Others opt to continue their education in a specialty program, dental research, dental public health or the military. The University of Louisville D.M.D. program is four years in length. The average class is composed of 120 students which are typically about 44 Kentucky residents and 76 non-residents. The average age of the 2012 entering class is 24, ranging in age from 21 to 40.
