Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program
The University of Louisville offers a pre-med preparation program designed for career changers who desire to pursue medical school but lack the pre-med courses and preparation for admissions. The Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program is offered jointly by the School of Medicine and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Application requirements
This is a competitive program with 20 spots available per academic year. Fall entry only. Applicants must meet the following requirements for rolling admission:
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- Earned a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university in the United States
- Have a minimum 3.3 grade point average from undergraduate or graduate school
- Have no more than 12 credit hours in premedical science course work (not including English and math courses)
Our program is committed to create a diverse healthcare workforce that reflects our diverse community at large. All students are encouraged to apply. The application cycle for the 2026 cohort begins December 1 and will end on March 1, 2026.
