The Irvin and Helen Abell Administration Center houses the offices of the vice president for health affairs and the administrative offices of the School of Medicine. It also contains the Office of Communications and Marketing and Area Health Education Center offices. |

| The K Building is home to the School of Allied Health Sciences and the School of Nursing. The building also houses classrooms, labs, student government offices, the Health Sciences Center Bookstore, a student lounge and the Children and Youth Project. U of L's nursing school was an early leader in advanced nurse practicioner training. The School of Allied Health Sciences established one of the nation's first bachelor degree programs in cytotechnology, the only university-based program of its kind. | ![]() K Building |

The U of L School of Medicine Research Tower houses department offices and research labs. U of L's Medical School is one of the oldest medical schools in the nation and has trained more than 40 percent of physicians in Kentucky. |
