Academic Building
The Academic Building opened in January 1996 and contains the sociology, anthropology, geography and geosciences departments, the art history slide library and research and classroom facilities. It also houses the Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center and laboratories for Speed Scientific School. The grassy area in front of the building provides a scenic spot for students to take a break and enjoy the outdoors.

The Student Activities Center, the largest building on Belknap Campus, serves as the hub of university and campus activities. It houses the Student Government Association and Student Activities Board offices, as well as offices for the Athletic Department and Student Life. It offers a variety of entertainment options for students, including a movie theater, game room, lounge and gym area with eight racquetball courts, four basketball courts and a weight room. The Student Activities Center also houses seven restaurants and a federal credit union for students. Cardinal Arena, the facility used by the Lady Cardinal basketball and volleyball teams for their home games, is located in the east wing of the building.
The Red Barn, located beside the Student Activities Center, is one of the Belknap Campus buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally built as part of the Louisville Wagon Works, it has been renovated and preserved. The Red Barn hosts many campus activities and houses the Multicultural Center, a facility designed to celebrate the unique characteristics of diverse ethnic and racial cultures and to incorporate multiculturalism and pluralism throughout the curriculum.

Alumni Clock Tower

Funded in part by U of L alumni, the Alumni Clock Tower stands at more than 100 feet. A carillon plays school songs and other favorites every 15 minutes and rings out the time at the top of each hour.

Tour Menu

The University Club and Alumni Center houses the U of L Alumni Association and the Student Organization for Alumni Relations. The University Club section of this facility offers faculty, staff and alumni members an opportunity to use the club's banquet and dining facilities.
