Megan Aanstoos

Megan Aanstoos is a Commercialization Manager with the Commercialization EPI-Center. In this role, her primary responsibilities include assessing, managing, and licensing intellectual property. In addition, Megan helps with the management of the KYNETIC Grant for the regional institutions in Kentucky.

Before joining the team at UofL, Megan obtained her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, received a Master’s in Bioengineering from the University of Utah, and earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Colorado State University. She has previously served as a Licensing Analyst and Licensing Manager at Ohio State University.

Megan’s work allows her to pursue a lifelong passion: connecting people together to make healthcare and medicine easy. She is motivated by hearing people say “yes, I can help get that to market” and “yes, I have access to the technology I need to live the life I want.” In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with various animal welfare organizations to help rescue dogs find new homes.
