The University of Louisville Office of Communications & Marketing (OCM) is charged with promoting the university, its brand and its strategic mission. The communications staff handles internal and external communication and news media. The marketing staff is responsible for producing university publications, ad campaigns, graphic design and managing the university's website.
The Office of Communications & Marketing (OCM) creates mission-driven and market-focused strategies and tactics that build value and raise awareness of the University of Louisville brand in all of its forms.
Our responsibilities are:
- (Brand Strategy) Keep marketplace considerations (product, price, place and promotional issues) at the forefront of strategic decision making.
- (Brand Equity) Develop consistent and coordinated positioning strategies that meet the needs of target audiences and build the University of Louisville’s brand equity.
- (Brand Image) Ensure that the image of the university and its brand assets are being accurately, compellingly and professionally communicated so as to inspire confidence in the university’s mission and vision.
